Circus Maniacs was founded in Bristol, England in 1995 by Jackie Welbourne. Over it's first decade the company has taught many artists some of whom have gone on to perform internationally. Circus Maniacs has always employed serious artists for whom performing is a matter of necessity and this urgency still resonates through the schools ethos.
In the year 2000 the school started to promotes artists in response to the growing demand for circus performers. This initial push resulted in a major contract with the 'really useful company' to provide artists , choreography and consultancy for VW at the launch of the new Golf. The agency web site is now being re-built with the aim of being as comprehensive as possible as a source of information for both clients and artists alike.
